PEDIATRIC CAREGentle Pediatric Chiropractic for Your Growing Child
Pediatric chiropractic is gentle, low-force care that supports the function of a child's nervous system and neuro-spinal system as they develop. For an infant that can mean pressure no firmer than testing the ripeness of fruit; for older kids, techniques adapted to their size and stage.
Building Healthy FoundationsNewborn & Infant Care
Birth places real neurological and physical stress on a baby's body, even when everything goes smoothly. The head, neck, and brainstem take the brunt of it, and a fast or prolonged labor can add to that strain.
Gentle newborn chiropractic care supports your nervous system and neuro-biomechanics function during these early weeks of rapid growth. Colic, reflux, and coregulation, as well as motor milestones and emotional regulation all are influenced by birth. Adjustments are very light and adapted to a newborn's size, with nothing forceful involved.
Raising resilient kidsToddlers & Growing Kids
Childhood can be hard on a developing nervous system. From birth to three years old, there are over a million neurons per second being developed! Learning to take in surroundings, sit, crawl, walk, and climb comes with constant new and exciting stressors. As kids get older, the demands change shape with friendships, schedules, heavy backpacks, long hours hunched at desks and screens, sports, rapid growth spurts, and hormonal changes all put new physical stress on a body that's still developing.
Chiropractic Care at these stages focuses on how your child is adapting to their environment. We look at how well the nervous system is coordinating everything, then support those areas with gentle, age-appropriate adjustments. Our goal is to help your child feel good and keep up with every activity they want to do.
We know that kids are designed to be resilient and healthy - but for many families now, that isn’t the case. Currently over 40% of children have a chronic health condition such as Autism, ADHD, Asthma, and Epilepsy. What the conventional system often misses are the early, acute signs of these conditions - extremely colicky, constipated, and reflux struggling infants.
When children are struggling with things like colic, constipation, recurrent ear infections, allergies, sensory issues, and developmental delays, their parents are told, “Don’t worry, they’ll grow out of it.” Well, that’s simply not true.
Without addressing the root cause - the nervous system - these kids often don’t “grow out” of these issues, but rather - they “grow in” to other, more chronic concerns.
No two kids are the same, so no two care plans are either. What we recommend is based on your child's history, exam, and INSiGHT scan findings.
empowering parentsPediatric Care From Doctors Who Get It
Apex Chiropractic is run by Dr. Kirsten and Dr. Jared, a husband-and-wife team who are also parents themselves. Both have pursued advanced pediatric training beyond chiropractic school including formal coursework through The Pediatric Experience and the International Pediatric Chiropractic Association (ICPA).
That training shapes how they practice: gentle, neurologically-focused, and built around making sure every parent actually understands their child's chiropractic care.

WHAt to expectOur 5 Step Process
-
STEP ONE is scheduling a Consultation. We start by getting to know you and your child, taking a thorough case history and really listening. Many parents tell us it's the first time they've felt fully heard. Our goal is to understand your concerns and be honest about whether we're the right fit.
-
STEP TWO is doing a deep dive into the function of your child’s central nervous system, using an incredible set of technology called the INSiGHT Scans. Next we look at how your child's nervous system is functioning using our INSiGHT scans — three gentle, non-invasive scans, no needles and nothing uncomfortable. They give us an objective baseline so care is personalized.
Three of the main things these scans are looking for are subluxation, dysautonomia, and vagus nerve dysfunction – which are all just terms that mean a stressed out, worn out, and dysfunctional nervous system. To learn more about this incredible technology used throughout our PX Docs Network, check out this article here!
-
STEP THREE is figuring out an exact, customized Care Plan. We combine your child's history with the exam and scan findings to build a fully personalized care plan — the right frequency and duration for your child specifically. No cookie-cutter approach.
-
STEP FOUR is sitting down with one of our doctors at what’s called the Report of Findings visit. Parents sit down with one of our doctors to walk through the findings and the plan in plain language, with every question answered. You'll leave with a clear picture before anything begins.
-
STEP FIVE is getting started with Adjustments. If it's the right step, we begin gentle adjustments. Parents are often surprised how easygoing it is — many kids find their visits relaxing, and plenty fall asleep on the table.
Our Advanced techNon-Invasive Neurological Scans
At Apex Chiropractic, we use technology called INSiGHT scans to assess how the nervous system is functioning relaying objective information that lets us personalize care and track how your child responds over time.
-
Heart Rate Variability (HRV)
✓ Non-Invasive
✓ Side-Effect Free
✓ Pediatric + Pregnancy Safe
The HRV scan measures how the nervous system is holding up to stress. It also calculates the balance of the autonomic nervous system — whether someone might be stuck on the “gas pedal” or the “brake pedal”. Additionally, we get a clear read on how the parasympathetic nerves, like the Vagus nerve, are functioning. -
Rolling Thermography
✓ Non-Invasive
✓ Side-Effect Free
✓ Pediatric + Pregnancy Safe
Our Rolling Thermography (NeuroThermal) scan takes many different points of temperature along your spine. We see this as our “deep heat” test, as inflammation and nerve interference can cause increases in temperature side-to-side. -
Static Electromyography
✓ Non-Invasive
✓ Side-Effect Free
✓ Pediatric + Pregnancy Safe
Static Electromyography (sEMG) helps to measure how nerves are communicating with the spinal muscles that maintain posture. This can also help to give us an overall muscle energy efficiency, which often leads to fatigue and muscle imbalances.
